Grants and application opportunities

Rules and possibilities for support and applications

Do you have an idea for a film - and the talent to make it come through? In that case - Århus Filmværksted wants to support you!

Deadline 11 times a year

Deadline is:

The first Monday every month except for July.

The workshop has no rules for supporting film ideas. We look at the individual goals and possibilities in every single project. We chose the most realistic ideas.

The workshop deals with 3 kinds of support:

1. Common support, managed by the Project Committee

The Project Committee treats the applications one by one. We have no quotas, and no advance priorities. Your artistic and personal resources, your interests and wishes are important to us. Developing your expressions, methods and techniques - that is the job we do.
An applicant, who has been granted, will receive comments as well as advice during his work.

If we have to refuse your application - we will write and tell you why.

2. Support for children and teenagers no more than 18 years, under direction of the Aarhus Film Workshop management:

Århus Filmværksted supports children and teenagers no more than 18 years. The support especially goes for short fiction.

The most important target group is 12 - 18 years.

3. Extraordinary support, under direction of the Aarhus Film Workshop management:

In quite extraordinary cases the leader is allowed to involve the workshop in other kind of projects, which are not supported as described in the points above.

Aarhus Film Workshop has a solid support with 11 annual application deadlines; the 1st Monday of each month - except in July, where we keep the summer holidays.

The workshop would not be a unique selection form, but specifies that selection according to the objectives and potentials, as each project indicates.
